Pregnancy can cause stress and make the heart and blood vessels work harder.
Understand how your heart is affected during pregnancy, the types of cardiac changes, risk factors, causes, diagnosis and treatments. Learn the importance of prenatal care toward risk reduction.
Afterwards, attendees will tour of Labor & Delivery and the mother/baby area.
Resources such as support groups and classes will be provided.
A light dinner will be served.
RWJUH Somerset will conduct a diaper drive to support underserved families in need.
